The Gregorio Marañón Hospital hosted the Palliative Care Conference attended by more than 200 health professionals.
On March 14, the Conference of the Madrid Association of Palliative Care was held at the Gregorio Marañón hospital under the slogan "Integrating is the challenge" and with the title "Open to other glances". The Association sought to bring together health professionals from different fields and learn about initiatives that from the administrations promote collaboration and citizen participation in this stage of life.
The Conference showed that the main objective is to help patients feel better but not only treating the symptoms, side effects of the disease and the treatments, but also the emotional and social problems that the disease develops. For this, it is important to integrate patient and family care in the different areas and that they feel supported throughout the process.
